A new Governing Body was formed by CACFO UK’s Trustees to replace the previous model of Governance set up by the Local Authority.  The new Governing Body held its first meeting in January 2018 and meets regularly:

The new Governing Body is initially chaired by a Trustee, Adrian Dennis, who serves as Secretary to CACFO UK’s main Board. Composition of the Governing Body was improved to include a range of professionals, a significant number of whom are very experienced and from the field of education:

Governors are committed to:

  • ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction of CACFO UK Education Centre;
  • holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the Centre and its pupils, and the performance management of staff;
  • overseeing the financial performance of the Centre and making sure its money is well spent;
  • overseeing the Centre’s compliance with standards set out in The Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014 and raising the Centre’s performance in general to ensure that standards are consistently met and with the aim of restoring performance to ‘good’ as previously assessed by Ofsted;
  • measuring progress and routinely reporting upon compliance to CACFO UK’s Board of Trustees (the Proprietor).
