CACFO UK’s Summer School is one of our regular offers to the community.

It is a distinct entity from our regular school with a fresh mix of children from across Croydon.

Summer School is an action-packed scheme full of activities for children and teenagers aged 7-14 to help ensure that they have a summer to remember.

This year it will run for three weeks from 24 July to 18 August 2017 in response to demand from parents expressed after last year’s successful school. So you have to be quick to book a place.

CACFO UK Summer School is managed by experienced and qualified staff (two pictured).

The price per pupil is £100 per week inclusive of all entrance fees to trips.  A cooked lunchcan be provided for an additional £3.50/ day when children are on site at the school.  Alternatively you can provide them with a packed lunch when they are on site.

Parents must provide packed lunches or give their children cash for lunch on days when they are off site on trips.

Once children’s places are confirmed a Whatsapp group will be created so that parents can keep up with the action as it happens as well as receive practical information such as exact trains, when we are boarding, and times of arrival from trips, etc.

The school day is from 9.30 to 3.30pm.  Extended care can be provided at a rate of £10/hour per child.  To be fair to all parents, late collection charges will also be applied at a rate of £10/hour per child.  Hours will not be fractioned for this purpose.

Children who attend always discover new skills and experience new activities that will help to enrich their lives. Make CACFO UK Summer School your first choice for your child.  Click here to learn more.

Community Centre

In the late evening and at weekends CACFO UK’s centre turns itself over to provide a range of other activities for local people.

There is a Domino Club that meets several evenings each week.  It provides an alternative social outlet for elderly men and women to get out of their homes and escape social isolation.

Our Sewing Club provides a way for women in particular, though not exclusively, to develop dress making skills and explore fashion design. This has led to CACFO UK host-hosting fashion shows where club members are able to show off their creations on the catwalk.sewing-dscf0474

Our Computer Club for the elderly provides a Computer Zone for locals under Croydon Council’s Go On programme to get more people to share the benefits of being able to go online.

CACFO UK’s Chairman and Secretary are principal organisers of the Thornton Heath Festival which provides a fun-filled day out for our diverse community. About 8,000 people attended this year’s Festival and our Charity is proud to have been both a sponsor of the event, through the donation of our time, and a stall holder.

We hire out the Centre for children’s birthday parties, weddings, etc for local use.  If you wish to hire CACFO UK’s hall please complete the application form [add link].
